Najmi is a seasoned Public Relations Lecturer at the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, UiTM Shah Alam, where he has been contributing for over a decade. He holds a Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) in Public Relations and has furthered his academic journey with a Master of Social Sciences (Communication Management) and a Master of Mass Communication.

With a specialisation in Public Relations in Government and Diplomacy, Najmi’s professional background includes serving at the National Anti-Drugs Agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs, where he honed his expertise in public sector communications. Currently, he holds the position of Honorary Secretary at the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM) and has earned the prestigious Accreditation in Public Relations (APR).

Najmi has been recognized for his excellence in public speaking and thought leadership, winning the Best Presenter Award at both the 5th International Conference on Communication & Business (2023) and the World Public Relations Forum (2024) during the Global Communications Knowledge Conference, where he contributed to discussions on Purposeful Influence for the Common Good.
