Deputy Honorary Secretary
Muhammad Alisam bin Ismail (Sam Ismail) serves as a Council Member and Deputy Honorary Secretary of the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM). In this role, he supports governance, administrative coordination and strategic initiatives that strengthen institutional development, professional standards and industry collaboration within the public relations profession.
He is the Founder and Director of PACE Asia Services and Founder of Pusat Tuisyen Perintis Didik (PTPD). With more than 20 years of progressive experience in public relations and strategic communications, he has led and advised communication strategies across corporate, public-sector and educational institutions, focusing on organisational trust, reputation management and stakeholder engagement.
Sam holds a Diploma in Communication and Media Studies and a Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) in Broadcasting from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), as well as a Master of Communication in Integrated Marketing Communication from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Communication at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). His areas of expertise include strategic communication leadership, crisis communication, ESG and sustainability communication, communication governance, institutional positioning and professional capacity building.
Throughout his career, he has played a key role in shaping communication frameworks for ESG and sustainability initiatives, leading strategic advisory projects and facilitating professional forums and national-level programmes. He is also actively involved in mentoring emerging communication professionals and contributing to the development of future-ready public relations leaders.
Through his work in both consultancy and education, he advocates for disciplined, purpose-driven communication that builds institutional credibility and long-term public trust. Within IPRM, he is committed to advancing ethical practice, strengthening governance and fostering the next generation of communication professionals.
