Rosli Ismail, APR (ASEAN)

Rosli Ismail has been the Council Member of the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM) since 1 March 2003. He was also the Honorary Secretary for the 2022-2024 Term.
He graduated from the MARA Institute of Technology (ITM), Shah Alam in 1988 and the University of Leicester, England in 1993 with a Diploma in Mass Communications (Public Relations) and a Master of Arts in Mass Communications, respectively.
He was also the 1st National Recipient of the Advanced Diploma in Human Resources (Public Relations) from the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM).
Others credential includes the Certified Halal Executive from Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (Jakim)/Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), “Shariah RFP” title from Malaysia Financial Planning Council (MFPC), Diploma in Professional Translation from Persatuan Penterjemah Malaysia, Executive Diploma in Human Resource Management and Certificate in Islamic Financial Planning, both from the University of Malaya (UM).
In the field of PR education, he was the pioneer lecturer with the Department of Communication Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) for the 1st three batches.
In the public relations industry, he started his career as the Public Relations Executive wth Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) back in 1989, and his final position was the Assistant Vice President, Branding & Marketing with Attana Hotels & Resorts Sdn Bhd (a PNB hospitality subsidiary), where he was responsible for heading the branding exercise for all 7 hotels & 3 golf clubs under PNB. The task was completed.
He also sits on various Industry Advisory Board/Board of Studies/Adjunct Lecturer with MMU, MSU, OUM, UCSI, UM, UMK, UniMAP, UniZA, UPM, UPTM, UTP and Sunway University. He was also the Industry Panel for the “MQA Programme Standard” for Communication & Media Studies.
His experience in Public Relations was acknowledged by the Department of Communication, Faculty of Modern Languages and Communication, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with the appointment as the Adjunct Professor for Corporate Communication for 3 consecutive terms.
Currently, he is pursuing his PhD Studies in the field of Islamic Public Relations with a local university.
